Which Content Strategy Is Best For Your Business?

Figuring out the best content strategy for your business is critical if you want to use your resources well. However, it’s easier said than done. While you might think you have the right content strategy in mind, you perhaps don’t.

That’s where this post can provide some guidance and direction. It’s often hard for new entrepreneurs to know how to adjust their content and make things happen. But it is possible with the right approach and outlook.

Video Content For Engagement

For example, video content is usually best for businesses targeting younger audiences and consumer brands. Actually showing people how products work and providing them with tutorials and behind-the-scenes edits grab attention and can drive them down the sales funnel.

An example would be something like a clothing brand sharing customer testimonials or a fitness company sharing workout clips. These little additions can make the content more shareable and versatile.

The problem, of course, is the production costs. Videos require niche editing skills to get right, so most firms have to hire professionals.

Social Media Content

Social media content works well for retail and lifestyle brands. Consumers love hopping on these platforms and imagining what their lives would be like if they had the right products.

This approach works because reels and tweets keep your brand top of mind. Consumers are always seeing what you’re doing and being reminded of what you sell, which is useful when trying to create desire.

The downside, of course, is the short lifespan. Social media content doesn’t last long before it is buried by the algorithm. Even so, it can be exciting while it lasts, and you can bring down costs by working on a formula.

Blogging Content

Blogging content tends to be best for B2B firms or consultancies looking to share their expertise. The idea here is to communicate more complex ideas via the written word that provide real value to people in industries or those looking for support and assistance.

Toni Marino SEO Consultancy also suggests that blogging is good for businesses that want to rank high in Google search for their chosen keywords. Google does love videos, but it is also interested in the text written on pages because it helps it determine the nature of the domain.

Email Newsletter Content

Email newsletter content is for retention. Businesses use it to keep their existing customers coming back for more, reminding them of their products and advertising new deals.

This option is best for service providers and e-commerce businesses with loyal customers. It also makes sense for service providers, although the content is usually more educational.

Choose this option if you already have a customer base and you want to boost their loyalty. The downside is that you already need a subscriber base in place to really benefit, and you don’t always have that.

UGC

Finally, you could use UGC. This option is great for lifestyle businesses wanting to reach customers on a budget. For example, you might be a clothing brand showing people what it looks like to wear your clothes or a travel agent revealing its vacation experiences.
